300-hour Online Certification Program

Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an evidence-based adjunctive treatment for complex, developmental trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant PTSD. Empirical research indicates TCTSY to be an effective treatment for the most severe forms of trauma.

Our 300-hour certification program is open to certified yoga teachers, licensed mental health care professionals and community providers. All applicants must have completed a Foundational Training. We also offer a concurrent Spanish-language program.

20-hour Foundational Trainings

These trainings introduce attendees to the core concepts and applications of TCTSY.

Our 20-hour Foundational Trainings are intended to inspire yoga teachers to make their classes more trauma-informed and to support those working in the mental health field to bring the body into treatment when working with people affected by PTSD, developmental and/or complex trauma.

Foundational Trainings are facilitated by Center for Trauma and Embodiment faculty or a licensed TCTSY trainer in your area. They are offered both online and in person.

Agency Training

Bring our evidence-based model of treating trauma through the body to your organization with a two-day intensive program.

Providers will learn concrete tools grounded in a clinical framework that can be brought immediately to the client.

With our training, clinical settings and larger systems (i.e hospitals, mental health agencies, justice systems or shelters) can utilize Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) with individuals and/or groups. Training can be tailored to meet the unique needs of specific populations and dynamics.
